Tayacajina wins 21K Marathon in Lima city

Zaida Ramos, a 27-year-old Tayacajina athlete, won the 21K Marathon in the women's category held this Sunday, May 19, in the city of Lima.

With a total time of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 25 seconds, she managed to win first place and thus once again put Peruvian athletes from the center of the country on a high note.

Zaida Ramos, very excited about her victory, thanked God, her coach Dania Contreras, Kallpa Generación who has been supporting her, as well as all the people of Tayacaja in Huancavelica who are always watching her competitions.

It is worth mentioning that the first three places in the women’s 21K were won by Peruvian athletes.

As will be recalled, Zaida Ramos had won the 2023 “Maratón de Los Andes” held in the Pasco region.

Zaida Ramos, a native of the district of Salcabamba, Tayacaja province, Huancavelica region, will continue her training in her homeland as she is awaiting confirmation to participate in the marathon in the city of Quito, Ecuador, next June, where she will surely leave the name of Peru on high.
