CERRO DEL ÁGUILA HPP

The waters of the Mantaro River propels this hydropower plant located in Huancavelica.

This is the largest private hydropower plant in Peru. It took three years and an investment close to one billion dollars to build it.

Cerro del Águila was inaugurated in 2016, in Huancavelica. The waters of the Mantaro River are contained by an 80-meter-high dam, which allows us to accumulate more water and gain altitude, thus increasing our power generation capabilities together with our 10 MW mini-hydropower plant.
