In its commitment to contribute to the improvement of health in the Huancavelica region, the Cerro del Águila Hydropower Plant -CDA-, operated by Kallpa Generación, delivered two fully equipped ambulances to the health centers of the districts of Andaymarca and Salcabamba, in the province of Tayacaja.
These type II rural units, designed to operate in rugged terrain, have 4×4 traction and specialized equipment, which includes cervical immobilization, intubation system, oxygen therapy, five-parameter monitor and defibrillator, thus guaranteeing a rapid and effective response in emergency situations.
“This is a joint effort between the private company, the Regional Government of Huancavelica, the district municipalities of Andaymarca and Salcabamba, and specialized entities such as the Regional Health Directorate and the Tayacaja Health Network. The Cerro del Águila Hydropower Plant reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development and well-being of our neighbors in Huancavelica,” declared Luis Alburqueque, Social Management Manager of CDA.
The new ambulances will facilitate the assisted transfer of patients between local and more complex health centers when necessary. In addition, the ambulances have an optimized design for the mobility of medical personnel during care maneuvers.
Likewise, the private company is managing an agreement through the Works for Taxes mechanism for the acquisition of more ambulances for other towns in Huancavelica. CDA reaffirms its commitment to the well-being and development of the province of Tayacaja and the Huancavelica region as a whole.
