The activity is part of “Huallanca Vive su Cultura”, a cultural initiative designed to strengthen community life in this district of Áncash.
The Cañón del Pato Hydro Power Plant has launched community cinema screenings in Huallanca as part of the “Huallanca Vive su Cultura” project, an initiative designed to bring entertainment and cultural experiences to children, youth, and adults in the district.
The first screening was held last Saturday at the auditorium of the Huallanca District Municipality, where “Lilo & Stitch” was shown—a family-friendly film full of adventure and humour, perfect for children and adults to enjoy together.
“Bringing cinema to Huallanca means creating a space where families can gather, learn, and share moments of connection. Each screening aims to close gaps and bring meaningful entertainment experiences closer to the community,” said Luis Alburqueque, Social Management Manager of Kallpa Generación, highlighting the importance of these activities for the entire community.
Additionally, attendees learned about the social initiatives that Cañón del Pato develops in the area and with neighbouring communities, further strengthening local ties.
Committed to continuing these efforts, the community cinema screenings will take place regularly at the municipal auditorium, aiming to bring together between 70 and 80 participants per session, fostering participation and strengthening the district’s cultural life.
Through this initiative, the Cañón del Pato Hydro Power Plant reaffirms its commitment to the social and cultural development of the communities where it operates, promoting recreational and educational activities that contribute to the well-being of families and the strengthening of local identity.
