Faced with the emergency situation and as part of its social commitment to the district of Huallanca, the Cañón del Pato Hydroelectric Power Plant, working together with the District Municipality of Huallanca, has been providing support to the people affected by the heavy rains and landslides.
The support activities began in the Mallcush sector, where 20 sacks of rice, sugar and flour were delivered, as well as foodstuffs such as potatoes, noodles, flour, oatmeal, tuna, boxes of mineral water, milk, oil and tuna, which covered the needs of more than 600 local residents.
The support also included the supply of water for domestic use through a tanker truck, benefiting 156 families in the district of Yuracmarca and 30 families in the district of Huallanca. Likewise, in order to reestablish traffic in the area, Cañón del Pato provided the population with a front-end loader to clean and rehabilitate the roads affected by landslides.

Similarly, the Cañón del Pato Hydroelectric Power Plant is coordinating the delivery of 200 gallons of diesel fuel, which will be used to continue cleaning roads and freeing up the main highways in the Huallanca district.
On the other hand, it will contribute with construction materials to put into operation the drinking water system of the district of Huallanca and the repair of the Oroya of the Mallcush Bajo sector. In addition, the delivery of basic necessities will continue for the benefit of Quitaracza, one of the communities most affected by the storm.
The Cañón del Pato Hydroelectric Power Plant reiterates its willingness to regional and local authorities to continue joining efforts to address the emergency and reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the welfare of the district of Huallanca.
