Cerro del Águila HPP closes 2024 sewing workshop

The closing of the Pattern Making, Cutting and Dressmaking Program in the district of Andaymarca, Tayacaja province, an initiative led by the Cerro del Aguila Hydroelectric Power Plant, as part of its Social Responsibility Policy, in collaboration with the District Municipality of Andaymarca, and in favor of strengthening the technical-productive capacities of the community,  took place with great enthusiasm.

  • The program benefited 21 people from the communities: Andaymarca, Suilloc, Quintao and Pichiu. During the months of the program, the Cerro del Águila hydropower plant provided 19 sewing machines so that the participants could develop their textile sewing skills with the help of a specialized consultant.

The closing ceremony included a community fair in the district’s main square, where participants exhibited their textile products. This event allowed the community to appreciate the talent of the beneficiaries, highlighting the positive impact of the project in the region.

“We are very satisfied with the achievements of the participants throughout the project, which not only provides them with important technical knowledge, but also opens the door to an entrepreneurial future for their families and the entire community,” said Luis Alburqueque, Social Management Manager of the Cerro del Águila Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The Cerro del Aguila Hydroelectric Power Plant will continue to promote productive projects and technical training that contribute to the development and well-being of the population of the province of Tayacaja.
