The Cerro del Águila Hydroelectric Power Plant, operated by Kallpa Generación, in coordination with the Provincial Municipality of Tayacaja, officially delivered five units of heavy machinery as part of the project “Improvement of the institutional mission services in the machinery pool of the Provincial Municipality of Tayacaja.”

This initiative, executed under the Public Work for Taxes mechanism, aims to improve road infrastructure, strengthen disaster response capacity, and boost the local economy, especially benefiting small agricultural producers in the district.

The machinery delivered includes a roller, a motor grader, a front-end loader, a backhoe loader, and self-loading concrete mixer”. These five units are part of a total of nine pledged between both institutions, involving an investment of more than S/ 7.9 million.

“This machinery will allow for better communication routes, facilitate the transportation of agricultural products, and ensure a rapid response to mudslides and landslides,” highlighted Kallpa´s Social Management Manager Luis Albuquerque.

Moreover, the agreement includes the construction of a workshop—currently under development—that will serve as a technical and logistical center for the maintenance of these units, ensuring their operability and sustainability over time.

With this delivery, Kallpa Generación reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of Tayacaja and the Huancavelica region, driving projects that strengthen public infrastructure and improve the quality of life for its communities.
