Cerro del Águila Hydropower plant provides over 1,600 Medical Services during Health Campaign in Tayacaja

A total of 1,680 comprehensive medical services were provided in seven communities neighboring the Cerro del Águila Hydropower Plant.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the well-being of communities in the districts of Andaymarca, Colcabamba, and Surcubamba in Tayacaja, Huancavelica, the Cerro del Águila Hydroelectric Plant, operated by Kallpa Generación, carried out the first Comprehensive Health Care Campaign of the year, in coordination with the Tayacaja Health Network.

During the campaign, a total of 1,680 medical services were delivered in the specialties of General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry, and Physiotherapy, benefiting residents of seven local communities: Suilloc, Quintao, Jatuspata, Duraznuyoc, Pichiu, Llocce Huantaccero, and Capcas.
As part of comprehensive care, medications were provided free of charge to patients who required them, based on the diagnoses and treatment plans prescribed by healthcare professionals contracted for the campaign. Additional services such as haircuts were also offered.

“This campaign aims to bring specialized medical services closer to the population and promote timely, high-quality care for all residents of our neighboring communities,” said Luis Alburqueque Castro, Social Management Manager at Kallpa Generación.
This was the first of two annual health campaigns organized continuously by Kallpa Generación through the Cerro del Águila Hydropower Plant since 2012, reaffirming its commitment to the health and development of the people of Tayacaja.
