With this year’s theme, “New Technologies to encourage Sustainable Development,” the ProActivo Awards aim to highlight projects that foster community well-being through initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and ESG guidelines.
Kallpa Generación was recognized in the 8th edition of the 2025 ProActivo Awards, winning first and third place in the Energy category, thanks to its social and environmental programs that promote sustainable development in the communities where it operates.
In this edition, Kallpa stood out with the following projects:
1st Place: Chilca Emprende (Chilca, Lima)
A program that provides skills training through workshops such as “Chilcan Entrepreneur” and “Small Business Management.” It has supported the creation and formalization of 15 local businesses, which now serve as the main source of income for families in the area. Additionally, it launched the Kallpa Entrepreneur Fair, a platform that showcases local brands like Qorikilla, Cueros Demarini, and Cuyes La Rosa.
3rd Place: Sumaq Sara (Cerro del Águila, Huancavelica)
A project that has increased the production and profitability of six farming communities in Tayacaja through technical training, providing supplies, and the ancestral “learning by doing” methodology. More than 570 corn producers have benefited, helping to revitalize local knowledge and strengthen food security.
Through these efforts, Kallpa Generación reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and shared value creation, working hand-in-hand with the communities where it operates to drive a responsible energy transition and contribute to the country’s social progress.
