Social management

We support sustainable projects that promote development

We are committed to the development of our neighboring communities through a shared social management model that unites the community, academia, the state and companies.

Our Social Responsibility policy establishes the criteria and guidelines for effective social management, prioritizing constant and transparent communication with our stakeholders, respecting their customs and using mechanisms for better mutual understanding.

We implement a shared social management model that unites the efforts of the community, academia, the state and companies. Our goal is to create synergies through strategic alliances to close gaps and contribute to sustainable development for the benefit of people and the planet.

Management pillars

Each of our social management pillars is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

01

EDUCATION

Our actions are aimed at providing an optimal and holistic education for the future leaders and professionals of our country. It is our intention that students in our areas of influence be prepared for the real world and actively contribute to its development. Our proposal includes the creation of educational programs and initiatives focused on the development of skills and knowledge in science, technology, reading comprehension and workforce development, as well as educating citizens with a sense of values and ethics.

KALLPA SCHOLARSHIP

We have strategic alliances with technical colleges and universities, which allows us to provide greater access to higher education for young secondary schools graduates in our neighboring cities. These alliances make it possible for the young beneficiaries to focus exclusively on their studies.

TEACHER TRAINING

In alliance with the different agencies of the Ministry of Education, we promote the strengthening of teachers’ pedagogical skills. These training spaces allow education professionals to update and hone their skills to face the teaching challenges and better educate their students.

SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

Helping parents meet the minimum requirements for their children to start the school year not only helps the family’s economy but also strengthens the government’s policy of reducing student dropouts due to lack of resources.

02

HEALTH

We have developed several activities to contribute to the improvement of health indicators in our neighboring communities and to improve health services. We have contributed to the improvement of the infrastructure of the health services, provided training to the community monitors as well as to the primary school students in cleanliness and hygiene.

COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CAMPAIGNS

Prevention is the key to improving the health of the population, which is why our comprehensive health campaigns within a shared social management model, in strategic alliance with the Ministry of Health, help us to bring medical services closer to the population.

03

PRODUCTIVE DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Our priority is to enhance the capabilities of our neighboring populations by promoting traditional economic activities such as agriculture and livestock. In the agricultural sector, our projects aim to increase production, generate income and improve the quality of life. To achieve this objective, it is important to join efforts by means of strategic alliances and co-financing resources, seeking the participation of all stakeholders in the territory.

We have implemented productive projects such as:

AGRICULTURAL AND LIVESTOCK TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE COMMUNITIES OF THE AREA OF INFLUENCE

The intervention of professionals in agriculture, in combination with the ancestral knowledge of the farmers, allows the improvement of techniques in this activity, which is reflected in the improvement of crops and consequently in the guarantee of better quality and quantity of harvests.

SUSTAINABLE RICE CULTIVATION

Kallpa Generación provides advisory services to rice farmers in La Ramada, in the district of Llama, province of Chota, Cajamarca. Now, water is managed better and the harvest has doubled.

04

INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT

We are aware that one of the most important pillars for development is to have adequate and quality infrastructure. Therefore, it is important to promote investment mechanisms through different sources of financing, own resources and/or public-private partnerships (works for taxes).

IMPROVEMENT OF ACCESS ROADS

Our neighboring populations, the government and the private sector have joined forces to implement programs that improve the condition of access roads (rural roads and highways). Under this business model, we have participated in the improvement of approximately 145 km of roads. We have provided direct maintenance, donated machinery and other equipment. These efforts allow the user populations to have better accessibility and, more importantly, trade is fostered by easing the transportation of their agricultural and livestock products in particular.

IRRIGATION INFRASTRUCTURE

In partnership with the users of this service, we have improved access to water for communities in our areas of influence. Our hydraulic infrastructure maintenance programs have allowed us to optimize the collection, storage and use of water, thereby improving agricultural productivity. The results are reflected not only in better quality agriculture, but also in increased farmer incomes and improved quality of life.

BUILDING THE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

This program includes both the construction and maintenance of community infrastructure (mainly community facilities). This allows for the strengthening of spaces for interaction among community members, sharing their daily experiences, but also allowing for better internal organization and decision making.

05

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE AND EDUCATION

We are committed to implementing programs that not only promote environmental education, but also contribute to the protection, enhancement and restoration of our natural resources. These efforts are carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a positive and lasting impact on our environment, here are some of our projects:

TREE PLANTING AND NURSERIES

In the bio-gardens created for this purpose, we have planted around 35,000 species that will later be transferred to the final field. The native trees and fruit trees used contribute to the beautification of the environment, the generation of income for the stakeholders involved, and the reduction of the carbon footprint.

RICE FARMING PROJECT

As an environmentally responsible company, we are committed to contributing to the efficient use of water in the places with which we interact. Through this project, we aim to promote good agricultural practices in the use of water for crops as demanding as rice, thereby raising awareness among farmers and helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
