The Carhuaquero Hydroelectric Power Plant contributed to the restoration of the Bocatoma bridge, in the La Ramada Village Center, Llama district, Chota, Cajamarca, in order to improve the trafficability of more than 100 families in the area and other users of the road.
Last Thursday, the infrastructure was reopened in the presence of the mayor of La Ramada, Ronaldo Alcántara Castro, as well as district authorities and representatives of the town and the hydroelectric power plant.
It is recalled that this bridge was seriously affected by the extreme rains and floods that occurred at the beginning of the year due to Cyclone Yaku, which damaged more than 480 districts of the country.
“We welcome the joint work carried out with local authorities of La Ramada and the population in general that allow us to deliver this road that will improve the quality of the population that moves in the area,” said Luis Alburqueque, Manager of Kallpa Generación, operator of the Carhuaquero Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The repair of the Bocatoma bridge reestablished 100% transitivity and reduced transportation costs for farmers and the population in general. In addition, a better movement of students to their educational institutions.
This work is the result of the Shared Social Management developed by the company, which promotes the articulated work between the State, the civil society and the private sector. Kallpa Generación reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the population neighboring its operations.
