The Cerro del Aguila Hydroelectric Power Plant delivered a hydraulic excavator to the district of Andaymarca, located in the province of Tayacaja, Huancavelica, which will strengthen the road infrastructure and the quality of life of the local inhabitants.
This contribution will be used to improve roads and trails for greater access and connectivity of the district with population centers and large cities such as Pampas, Huancayo and Huancavelica, which will reduce travel costs for the district’s families engaged in agricultural and livestock activities.
This important machinery, managed in the preceding months in partnership with the Municipality of Andaymarca, has the best features according to the needs of the district. The Caterpillar model 330 GC Caterpillar excavator will benefit 3,000 inhabitants of the district.
“The excavator will be of great help to the whole town, as a young district we are in the process of development, we have sectors where roads do not reach and we need to clean and unblock trails that facilitate the transfer in our farming areas, because we live from agriculture,” said Rovinzon Benites, district mayor of Andaymarca, to the media.
In this regard, Luis Alburqueque, Social Responsibility Manager of the Hydroelectric Power Plant, said that the company made its best effort to manage this important acquisition that will generate a positive impact for Andaymarca. He also emphasized that the official delivery is an example of dialogue and joint work with local authorities.
The delivery also contributes to the objectives of the Concerted Local Development Plan, which seeks to achieve productive and social growth, improve the family economy, and reduce the population’s vulnerability to natural disasters, among others.
As part of its Shared Social Management model, the Cerro del Aguila Hydroelectric Power Plant continues to carry out actions in compliance with its social responsibility policy and remains firmly committed to working for the sustainable development of the Andaymarca district and the Huancavelica region.
