There were eight days of medical care in four specialties in seven communities and an annex of the districts of Andaymarca, Colcabamba and Surcubamba.
With the objective of promoting the health and well-being of the local population, our Cerro del Águila Hydroelectric Power Plant completed its first health campaign of the year. Over the course of eight days, the campaign provided medical care to families from seven communities and one annex in the districts of Andaymarca, Colcabamba, and Surcubamba, in Tayacaja.
The campaign prioritized care for children, women, and older adults, with the aim of detecting and addressing prevalent health issues in the area in a timely manner, ensuring free access to basic medications based on medical diagnoses, and improving the overall well-being of the population through complementary cosmetology services.
Our Cerro del Águila Hydroelectric Power Plant has been conducting these health campaigns since 2013, organizing two campaigns each year to support the well-being of communities in Tayacaja. This edition featured a team of specialists who provided a total of 1,448 consultations and services in general medicine, dentistry, nursing, and cosmetology.
“Health is one of the pillars of Cerro del Águila’s social management policy. Given that access to healthcare services is limited in rural areas, these campaigns are very important for preventing and addressing health conditions among the local population,” said Luis Eduardo Alburqueque Castro, Social Management Manager at Kallpa Generación.
In this way, we reaffirm our commitment to the health and well-being of the population in our area of influence through our Shared Social Management model, which involves the participation of the government, local communities, and the private sector. This approach strengthens collaborative efforts and promotes sustainable development in Huancavelica.
