Kallpa inaugurates a new and modern clinical laboratory in Chilca

It will benefit more than 10,000 people in the district by decentralizing timely access to diagnostic services.

This infrastructure will serve as a key asset for strengthening the healthcare facility’s diagnostic capacity in light of a potential rise in diseases such as dengue, linked to the effects of the El Niño phenomenon.

With the aim of improving healthcare and diagnostic services in the district of Chilca, Cañete, Kallpa, in partnership with the Chilca-Mala Health Network, delivered the new clinical laboratory located at the 15 de Enero Health Post. The laboratory is equipped with modern technology to facilitate timely and accessible diagnostic services for the local population.

The new laboratory will benefit more than 10,000 people in the district, who will be able to undergo hematological, biochemical, microbiological and serological tests thanks to the installation of 32 new pieces of equipment and assets, as well as 37 varieties of laboratory supplies.

This modern facility will help ease the workload of the only laboratory previously available in the district of Chilca and expand access to its services, primarily benefiting residents of the 15 de Enero Human Settlement and nearby communities such as Olof Palme, San José and Papa León XIII. Its launch will make a significant contribution in the event of any contingency related to El Niño.

The implementation includes equipment for clinical testing, as well as furniture, computer equipment and supplementary materials required for the laboratory to operate. This collaboration seeks to strengthen the healthcare facility’s service capacity and improve the conditions under which healthcare is provided to the population.

“Supporting healthcare is one of the key pillars of the social management that Kallpa implements in its areas of influence. We are confident that this new, modern laboratory will have a very positive impact on the health and well-being of the people of Chilca,” said Luis Eduardo Alburqueque, Social Management Manager at Kallpa Generación.

The company reaffirms its commitment to continuing to support the district of Chilca through its Shared Social Management model, which involves the joint participation of the State, civil society and private companies.
