Kallpa Generación benefited 509 students by providing technological equipment for their classrooms through Smart devices and logistical support for the development of a school science and technology fair.
With the aim of promoting the continuous improvement of education in its area of influence, Kallpa Generación, the company that operates the Sunny Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant, promoted an initiative benefiting students of the Juan Velasco Alvarado Educational Institution.
As part of the joint efforts with the Regional Education Management Office of the Regional Government of Arequipa, 509 primary and secondary school students in San Camilo now enjoy a more dynamic and participatory learning experience thanks to the installation of Smart equipment in eight classrooms. This improvement enables teachers to transform traditional classes into interactive experiences and facilitates access to digital educational resources and audiovisual content.
In 2025, Kallpa installed digital interactive whiteboards at the same educational institution, with the aim of strengthening learning and the development of digital and technological skills that enable students to perform effectively in each curricular area.
In addition, Kallpa provided logistical support through the delivery of furniture for the organization of the FENCYT-EUREKA 2026 School Science and Technology Fair. The fair, promoted by UGEL La Joya, brought together 80 school projects from educational institutions across the district, fostering a space that encourages creativity, innovation and technology among students.
“Promoting education is a key pillar of development. By providing these tools, we strengthen the capabilities and skills of students in San Camilo and reaffirm our commitment to the community,” said Luis Eduardo Alburqueque Castro, Social Management Manager at Kallpa Generación.
This initiative is part of Kallpa’s Shared Social Management model, which brings together the participation of the State, the community and private companies, consolidating a joint effort to support the educational development of the population of San Camilo and the district of La Joya, in Arequipa.
