Medical care was provided across ten specialties, including general medicine, dentistry and ophthalmology, benefiting 400 residents of the district.
With the aim of contributing to the well-being and healthcare of the population in its area of influence, Kallpa Generación, operator of the Sunny Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant, promoted a health campaign for residents of the San Camilo populated center, in the district of La Joya, Arequipa.
The campaign saw a high turnout and provided more than 1,500 medical consultations across 10 specialties: general medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, gynecology, laboratory services, nutrition, obstetrics, ultrasound, psychology, and orthopedics and traumatology, provided by medical staff from Clínica San Juan de Dios.
More than 400 residents from Annexes 5, 6 and 7 participated in the campaign, receiving triage and medical care services, as well as, depending on each case, free access to basic medications according to their medical diagnosis.
This important activity was carried out in partnership with Clínica San Juan de Dios de Arequipa, the San Camilo Anexo 6 Health Post, the Municipality of the San Camilo Populated Center, I.E. Juan Velasco Alvarado, and other private companies in the area.
“For Kallpa, health is a fundamental pillar of its social management. The significant turnout at this campaign held in San Camilo confirms that when different institutions work together in a coordinated manner, we can achieve significant results for the benefit of the population,” said Luis Eduardo Alburqueque Castro, Kallpa’s Social Management Manager.
This health campaign and the company’s other social initiatives in Arequipa are carried out under a Shared Social Management model, which involves the participation of the State, civil society and private companies. Kallpa reaffirms its commitment to continuing to contribute to the well-being of the population of San Camilo.
