Inauguration of the Carhuaquero hydropower plant in Cajamarca. The following year operations started.
Start of operations of the Kallpa thermoelectric power plant in Chilca. Today, Kallpa is considered the largest CC in Peru.
In Chilca, the Las Flores thermoelectric power plant begins commercial operation.
The Kallpa thermoelectric power plant is turned into a combined-cycle power plant which produces 51 % more energy without using any additional natural gas.
In Huancavelica, the Cerro del Aguila hydropower plant starts operations. This is the largest privately owned hydropower plant built in Peru in the last 40 years.
The Las Flores thermoelectric plant is converted to a combined-cycle plant that produces more energy without requiring additional natural gas.
The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is commissioned to increase the flexibility and efficiency of our operations.
